How good was today's group lightning format? Seeing a huge bunch of riders sprinting to the line, smashing out PB's left, right and centre sure was great for us on the sideline 😉Check out the full results 👇and our website wanganuicycling.club/results/👏Rider of the Day was Kate McMurray – a massive season PB.😎Josh McMurray took time honours in group one from Corbyn Compton and Amelia Wood in 20.06.😎Thomas McMurray took time honours in group two from Hugo Skerman & Fergus Amon in 17.06.😎Takuma Iwasaki took the overall win and time honours in group three from Matthew Poulton & Dylan Anderson in 14.36.🙏Huge thanks to our A Team; Brian, Sarah, Ella- Rose, Dayle, Ron, and all those that chipped in packing up- great team effort!See you next week for our last race of the term.Cheers, Cath ... UPDATE: Racing is On.We're going to delay our decision whether we race today until 1.30pm - hoping this misty rain will clear by then! This Wednesday is the penultimate race (that came around quick, right?!) in our Term 2 Youth Road Racing Series. It's been awesome to see the skill development, confidence gained & camaraderie of the riders over the last 6 weeks👍👍A wee reminder on how we roll...👉We kick off after the compulsory briefing & spot prize draw at 4pm, racing out & back along Papaiti Road with the short course and long course (conditions permitting) options.❓Can I take part if I haven't raced so far this series? Yes, of course! Please complete the rego form: wanganuicycling.club/event/youth-road-racing-series/ or sign in on Wednesday from 3.45pm.🤞If the weather makes it unsafe to ride we will post a cancellation message by 12pm on Wednesday.CheersCath ...
