Hi Everyone
After a very successful Youth Road Cycling Series in 2021 we are pumped to be able to continue in 2022 kicking off for Term 2 on Wednesday 18th May.
Whether you’re an experienced Youth Cyclist, looking at targeting the North Island Schools Cycling Champs in July, or keen to have a crack at Road Cycling for the first time this series is a great opportunity to learn new skills, challenge yourself and have fun over a variety of race formats. Race HQ will continue to be opposite the Whanganui River Top 10 Holiday Park each week with Long Course & Short Course options out-and-back along Papaiti Road.
We’re also looking for road bikes to add to our youth hire fleet which is currently all hired out (not a bad problem to have!). If you have any 47-52cm bikes that you’d like to see back in action we’d love to hear from you. If you have previously hired a bike and are unable to take part this term, please drop your bike into Velo Ronny’s (49 Wilson St) so the crew can give it a service for the next rider.
